§ 01 · The Hook
The bait, then the rug-pull.
Laurin runs a textbook 3-second triple-confirm hook — the title overlay, the spoken first line, and the on-screen caption all say the same thing. Then she stacks 8 numbered points in escalating spice order, ending on the kind of identity-reframe punchline that makes people share to prove they're 'ready for it.' The format is cleaner than the politics suggest.

Modern Creator playbook
The 8-point selfie listicle is one of the highest-retention short-form formats on the platforms right now. Politics aside, the craft is dialed and genre-agnostic.
- Triple-confirm the hook in 3 seconds: title overlay + spoken first line + caption all saying the same thing. Algorithm wants this confirmation. Viewers want this confirmation.
- Order your 8 points by spice. Tame → controversial → spiciest. Don't burn your hottest take in slot #1 — escalation IS the retention engine.
- Pick one colloquial-language spike around point 6 or 7. Laurin's 'he will leave your ass' is the line that screenshots. One raw phrase per video, not the whole video raw.
- Number the points out loud — 'Number one, Number two...' — gives the audience a countdown to stay for. Re-engagement beat at every number jump.
- Close with an identity reframe, NOT a 'follow for more' CTA. 'If you can't handle that, you're not ready for it' makes people share to prove themselves. Far higher conversion than a soft CTA.
- Selfie phone shot. One take. No cuts. Production value is anti-correlated with retention on this format — the trust signal is 'I didn't have to edit this.'
